Day 21: Faceless

Mr Stevens, the protagonist of The Remains of the Day is faceless in this picture.  Part of the symbolism is that he is blind and disconnected from most of what happens around him.  In effect he has no face but his "dignity" with which he does his job.  His own face having long since been lost.
